Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Tomorrow is the start of the Special Session of General Conference in The United Methodist Church to look at a way forward concerning issues around human sexuality. I ask you to make a choice to do two things: 1) Pray for the work of General Conference delegates (lay and clergy from around the world) and 2) read the following letter from our Bishop Ken Carter.
We will be discussing this Sunday how a life of joy is a choice, according to James. It truly is. I invite you to pray and to read this important pastoral letter from our Bishop. I can’t wait to see you in church.
